The Harlem Cycle Safety Standard

Our Community’s Health and Safety is our Top Priority

We are going beyond the guidelines in creating the new safety measures to ensure the health & safety of every client as we reopen the studio. You can return to this page for the latest updated practices and procedures as we receive more information.

STUDIO UPDATES

The health& safety of our community has and will always be our top priority.  To ensure that we can ride in person together, we’ve made changes to how we operate with the sole purpose of keeping everyone who enters Harlem Cycle healthy and safe. Here are all the changes you can expect:

Cleaning and Sanitization

We’ve added air purifiers throughout our space. Studio doors will remain open during class to allow air flow. Our studio will be cleaned with cold-fogger technology and Hospital grade disinfectant.

Hand Sanitizing Stations

Additional hand sanitizers are available throughout the studio. Clients and staff will be asked to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer when first entering the studio

30MINS BETWEEN CLASSES

Transition time will be increased to limit in-studio occupancy and allow for cleaning. We will disinfect the studio and high-touch points in the lobby, hallway, and restrooms between classes.

LIMITED CLASS CAPACITY

All classes have been reduced to 11 clients to allow for proper social distancing. Due to the capacity change,  we will be strictly enforcing our cancellation policy. Please make sure to update all reservations 6 hours in advance of class.

HIGH TOUCH SURFACES AND OBJECTS

Common areas and surfaces will be disinfected throughout the day and in between each class. To limit hand to hand contact, we are removing complimentary items in the bathroom. Hair ties and ear plus will be behind the desk, available upon request.

INSTRUCTOR DIVIDER

A divider will be added around the instructor’s bike to allow the instructor to talk freely and instruct through  the microphone. While behind the divider the instructor will be allowed to remove their mask. If a divider is unavailable, the instructor will conduct class with a mask.

WHAT WE ARE ASKING OF YOU

STUDIO ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Please arrive at the studio no earlier than 10 minutes before class (the studio will be closed for cleaning). You will be asked to either wash your hands or use hand sanitizer upon arrival. After class, please leave the studio within 5 minutes so that we can clean and disinfect for the next class.

Vaccine Requirement

Starting September 1, 2021 only vaccinated clients will be allowed to enter Harlem Cycle and participate in class. You will be required to show proof of vaccination in either through a photo or hard copy of your CDC vaccination card, NYC COVID Safe App, NY State Excelsior APP, Official Vaccine Record, or an official vaccination record for outside NY State or United States.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Classes have been updated to limited capacity to allow bikes to be placed 6ft apart. We ask that you proactively social distance at all times while in the studio, lobby and hallways.

CONTACTLESS TRANSACTIONS

Cash will not be accepted and all clients are asked to use their credit card on file for in-studio purchases. A self sign in station will be placed in the lobby to limit person to person interaction during check-in.

MASK SAFETY

Masks or face coverings can optionally be worn while in common areas of the studio, and during class. Per CDC guidelines, all riders are not allowed  to wear ventilator masks. There will be no masks provided at the front desk so please bring your own.

HEALTH DECLARATION

All staff and clients are required to complete a mandatory health declaration as part of their waiver to confirm they are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, nor have they come in contact with someone who is experiencing symptoms, upon entering the studio.
