Q: What equipment do I need for the at home workouts?
A: Harlem Cycle at Home classes are designed for all levels with no special equipment required. If you are just starting out, no equipment is needed. As you get stronger, you can level up with hand weights, bands, ankle weights and sliders. We recommend a mat or soft surface for abs and floor work.
Q: Can I use my in-studio class purchase to stream Harlem Cycle at Home workouts?
A: At this time, in studio class packages can not be used to stream Harlem Cycle at home workouts.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription to Harlem Cycle at Home?
A: The steps to cancel will depend on how you initially signed up.

Q: Do you provide lockers or a place to change before/after class?
A: We provide cubbies and a changing area for your convenience. Harlem Cycle is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property, including but not limited to any property left on the premises or in a locker or cubbie. Personal items such as backpacks, bags and purses must be kept in a cubby. The staff is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Q: How can I try a class?
A: We want to make sure you get off to a strong start and experience all that Harlem Cycle has to offer. All new clients can register for our “New Client’s Deal” of 50% off your first class through our website at www.harlem-cycle.com.
Q: Do I need to register for class?
A: We recommend that you make a reservation if you plan to attend a class. We do welcome walk-in riders, but warn you that classes may fill up. To reserve a spot in advance, participants must sign up no later than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled class time. Reservations can be made online here . For classes before 8:00am, participants must reserve by 12 mid-night.
Q: What should I do if I am running late for a class?
A: If you are running late please give the studio a call and we will hold bikes for up to 5 minutes after class starts. After 5 mins we will not be able to let you in to class and this will result in a late cancel and loss of your class credit.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Participants have until 90 minutes before class begins to cancel their reservation. If a client is not present at the start of the class, they forfeit their spot and the front desk team may offer their bike to a client on the waitlist. Participants who cancel or do not show up within 5 mins of the start of class will be charged the total class cost.
Q: Do you provide refunds?
A: All purchases are nonrefundable. This includes classes, gear purchases, subscription fees, etc.
Q: What happens if I fail to show up for a class I reserve?
A: If you fail to show up for a class you’re signed up for, you will forfeit the class credit used to reserve the class. No refunds on payment will be granted.
For all commitment plan members failure to show up for a class will result in a $20 penalty and loss of class credit.
Q: Can I transfer my class credits and packages to another rider?
A: All Harlem Cycle class reservations and class packages are non-transferable.
Q: What should I wear to class?
A: You’re going to SWEAT! Appropriate athletic attire is recommended. Generally, this consists of athletic pants or shorts, and a t-shirt, sweatshirt or tank top. Shorts must be long enough to cover the buttocks and groin area when exercising or moving. Supportive underwear are recommended. Hard-soled, closed-toe athletic shoes or cycling shoes are recommended for all spinning classes.
Q: Can I ride if I am pregnant?
A: It is recommended that all expecting mothers consult with a medical professional before exercising. Expecting mothers may take a maternity freeze to suspend their membership for up to 12 months. All maternity freeze requests must be delivered in person or via certified mail to Harlem Cycle managing partners. If you are pregnant or have recently given birth, you are welcome to attend any class and workshops at Harlem Cycle as long as you stick to modified or lighter intensities. It is imperative to inform the instructor that you are pregnant or have recently given birth.
Q: No you have childcare?
A: No. Unfortunately, we don’t.
Q: Do you rent cycling shoes?
A: Unfortunately, no we do not rent cycling shoes. However please note our bikes are equipped for regular athletic shoes. If you already own your own cycling shoes please make sure they have SPD clips. For all combination classes we request you wear your regular athletic shoes once you are off the bike.
Q: Can children take classes?
A: Yes children over the age of 12 who are taller than 4’10” can participate in class. All parents of children under 18 will be required to sign a liability waiver before they can enter the studio.
Q: Can I cancel a commitment plan?
A: Our monthly commitment plan of $185 can be cancelled anytime before your next autorenewal. To cancel log into your MINDBODY account or send us an email at email@example.com. For all other commitment plans (5 class or 8 class) a $250 cancellation penalty will be charged for all early cancellations.
Q: When I purchase a class when does the countdown for the expiration start?
A: All class packages start on the date of purchase. For example a 1 ride class package with an expiration period of 14 days, if purchased on the 1st will expire on the 13th. Please make sure to check your receipt for your confirmed expiration date.
Q: Does the time I purchase a package matter with the expiration timing?
A: No class package expiration periods are only calculated by the date of purchase and not the time.
